Following four years of protracted litigation, a Massachusetts Superior Court awarded Houser LLP’s financial institutional clients over $283k in legal fees and costs following its successful defense. Houser achieved the award following a jury trial, at which the judge and jury found in favor of their clients on all claims. In awarding fees and costs, the Court acknowledged the experience, reputation, and ability of the Houser team. To ensure the collectability, the Court ordered the fees and costs to be assessed against the Plaintiffs’ real property. Prior to trial, Plaintiffs demanded over $6 million in damages from Houser’s clients, but were awarded nothing.
